Spring Training Home of The Dragons
Chatan Park is located in the central part of Okinawa Main Island and sits on the western coast of the island on the East China Sea.
The neighbor to the park is Mihama American Village, an entertainment and shopping complex featuring a large Ferris Wheel. Right next to Americana themed village, there is also the waterfront called "Sunset Beach" which is a good place to catch the sunset.
Chatan Park offers some sports facilities, such as outdoor and indoor athletic fields, a baseball stadium, a softball ground, a swimming pool and tennis courts.
The ballpark is mainly used for high school baseball tournament and other amateur baseball games. The Chunichi Dragons of Central League have used the stadium for their spring training since 1996.
