Artificial Turf And Natural Grass
Saiko Doman Green Park is beside small lake Saiko. There are several baseball fields, softball fields, tennis courts and soccer ground, including Yakult Toda Field.
Surface of this baseball field is so unique. Although typical Japan's baseabll field has dirt infield and grass outfield, infield of this ballpark is artificial turf. The reason why they have such kind of ground is that Jingu Stadium, the home of Yakult Swallows (Central League) has artificial turf.
There are only a several bench seats behind the backstop where about one hundred people can sit. However, the best seats of this ballpark is a bank over the third base side. On sunny weekends some families sit at the bank eating their homemade riceballs with drinking Japanese green tea.
